     If you have forgotten your Hotmail password, then go to https://account.live.com/password/reset . Click on “Forgotten Password”. You will then need to enter your email address or phone number, and fill out the CAPCHA. Hotmail will need to verify your identity, which is usually done by them sending a code to the mobile phone number on your file.

   I cannot log in to my Hotmail account on my computer. I can receive mail to my Hotmail account on my phone, but not on the computer. Where did it go on the computer and how do I get it back?

     Online Login November 30, 2017

     It is usually a browser issue, or a Windows Update issue. Try loggind in from a friend’s laptop. Try logging in with another browser, or update your preferred browser to a newer browser. If the issue was caused by a Windows Update, try rolling back the update.

     Sometimes disabling the proxy settings of your browser will work:

     Internet Explorer – Disable the proxy settings.
     1.Open Internet Explorer and click on Tools.
     2.Select Internet Options.
     3.Click the Connections tab and click the LAN settings button.
     4.Remove the check mark on the box for Use a proxy server for your LAN.
     5.Then click OK button to save the changes.

     Google Chrome – – Disable the proxy settings.
     1.Open Google Chrome and go to the menu options which is the three-line icon at the top right corner.
     2.Choose Settings from the drop-down list.
     3.Select Network and click Change proxy settings.
     4.Click the LAN Settings button.
     5.Uncheck the box for Use a proxy server for your LAN.
     6.Then click OK button to save the changes

     Mozilla Firefox – Disable the proxy settings.
     1.Click the Firefox drop-down menu button which is the three-line icon at the top right corner and choose Options.
     2.Click the Advanced panel and then click the Network tab.
     3.click Settings button on the Connection section and select No Proxy.
     4.Click OK to close the Connection Settings and Options window.
